A mould with a floating cavity plate.
The pin on the left is a regular cutting pin for non-stretching stiffer materials.
The pin on the right has a long spiral for soft stretching polymers and will finish cutting the gate against the pin bore (so it can be located around the cavity edge).
The cavity plate will stay closed during the first 15mm of the mould opening movement until the gate cutting has been completed.
